Born in Brazil in 1969, she graduated in Art from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora in 1994, immediately beginning her career as a painter. She continued her training in Brazil, specializing in Graphic Design in 1996 and earning a master’s degree in Marketing in 1997, while simultaneously developing her work in art and advertising graphics.

In 1998 she began working with mosaic art when, inspired by the works of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, she started experimenting with the use of ceramic and majolica. Despite having limited technical skills at the time, she fell in love with this art form and created her first mosaic works, which were exhibited in Brazil.

In 2002 she traveled to Italy for the first time and obtained the qualification of Mosaicista Posatore in Ravenna, where she deepened her knowledge through the opportunity to study with great masters of both ancient and contemporary mosaic. After completing her studies in Ravenna, she returned to Brazil and further developed her work, seeking her own personal style by blending elements of the Ravenna experience with Brazilian influences. She explored various applications of mosaic, first on metal, then on wood and cork, always maintaining an approach of complete freedom in execution combined with meticulous attention to detail.

In 2007 she moved permanently to Italy and began an intense dialogue with artists and exhibition spaces, taking part in numerous group and solo exhibitions at both national and international levels. This ongoing exchange with different artistic contexts, institutions, and curators broadened her professional horizons and contributed significantly to her artistic growth.

In recent years, her desire to merge her passion for mosaic with other art forms into something new and unique has grown, leading her to create and develop original techniques for assembling tesserae—first combining them with photography and later with drawing—thus giving full shape to her artistic expression. In addition to traditional Venetian glass and marble, she also uses murrine, semi-precious stones, shells, and various materials to enrich her work, making it even more distinctive. The presence of natural elements and the use of warm colors are the result of the artist’s travels between Brazil and Australia, where her family is based.

She served as Vice President of FIDA (Italian Federation of Artists of Trento and Bolzano) from 2015 to 2020, actively contributing to the promotion of art and to dialogue among artists.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
